Welcome back to my blog! Today we’re talking all gifts for men. In my experience, men are the hardest to shop for. They never know what they want until you tell them what they want. Here are a few ideas to get you started. Most of these are gifts I have already purchased for Danny that he loves and uses every day.
Gravity Blanket
Gravity blankets are made to be 7-12% of your body weight and essentially give you a hug while you’re sleeping. It’s like being held throughout the whole night (because it’s not super comfortable to snuggle while you’re sleeping if ya know what I mean). “This increases serotonin and melatonin levels and decreases cortisol levels—improving your mood and promoting restful sleep at the same time.” The Gravity Blanket is proven to increase the quality of sleep and help you fall asleep faster. According to the study, it reduces anxiety and promotes deeper sleep. It’s also super soft!
This is a great gift for her and him, but I know Dan would love this because he is always sleeping with so many pillows around him.
Quay Sunnies
I have been obsessed with Quay sunnies for a while now {I am in LOVE with the HIGH KEY/SAHARA range}, and they recently launched a collection for men. These are the perfect sunnies for your man that are mid-range, not as expensive as Ray Bans and not crappy plastic ones. Dan is always losing or breaking his sunglasses, so I probably wouldn’t splurge on anything too expensive. These are a great luxury pair that are about a third of the cost. Enough to take better care of them, but not so much that it would be devastating to lose them. My faves are the LIVING LARGE, OXFORD and FLINT.
Sneakers
Adidas has been having a moment lately. I just got some NMDs for Christmas and I absolutely love them. I also get so many compliments when I wear them.
You can find newer styles on the Adidas website and follow @adidasalerts on Twitter for news on sales and launches. I have also found GOAT as a great resource for popular and exclusive styles of Adidas shoes, including Yeezys.
What is GOAT? “Whether you’re looking to buy rare sneakers, discover new ones, or make money by listing sneakers you already own, GOAT is your destination. And with an authentication service, buyer protection guarantee and great customer service, it’s the safest option in the industry.”
GOAT allows for the purchase and sale of popular sneakers. It puts exclusive sneakers in the hands of people who can’t get them at the time of the drop. Since I live in Omaha, they never have releases here, so that puts me in this category. GOAT allows people to sell their new or used sneakers. If you’re looking for a more expensive style, you could always purchase a lightly-used pair for a lower price. I’m always on here just to keep an eye on Yeezy prices (in Oxford tan, aka one of the most exclusive pairs).
How does it work? “Sellers list their sneakers for sale on GOAT, while buyers peruse over 75,000 sneakers on the website, iPhone and Android apps. If you make a purchase, sellers are required to ship their sneakers to us for verification first and once they’re authenticated, we’ll ship them to you. If we find they are replicas or they are not as described, we’ll notify you and offer a full refund.”
Disclaimer: I would never buy Dan a pair of white shoes; they would be black in a week.
Apple Products
It’s finally here! We all knew it was coming, it just took its sweet time about it. We’ve had the Echo and the Google Home for a while and now the Apple Home Pod has finally graced all of our lives, available just in time for Valentine’s Day. Anything from Apple is always a good idea. Whenever I don’t know what to get Danny for a gift, I walk into the Apple Store and let it tell me what I want. Dan and I are #teamApple, so he is always excited when I get him anything Apple. You could also get AirPods, Apple TV, an Apple Watch, an iPad, an iPhone X or even a dongle (because he probably lost his).
For Christmas, I got Danny a dock to charge his phone and watch together. It’s made by Belkin and I picked it up at the Apple Store. He loves it so much and he also got it for his Dad as a gift. It makes a great gift for any Apple user.
Does anyone else’s boyfriend/husband not have a phone case on their phone? Just me? Well Danny cracked his phone screen this week, just like I said he would. So get ahead of the game and get that man a case if he doesn’t have one.
I could go on about Apple all day. Just go there and get something. You can’t go wrong.
MVMT Watches
MVMT watches are classic and timeless. And again, not super expensive. I got a black Melrose watch for Christmas last year and (when I’m not wearing my Apple Watch) it classes up my dressy looks. Get a men’s version of my watch here.
Personalized Watch Box
When I got Dan his Apple Watch, I put it inside of a watch box from Things Remembered and had the glass personalized. It read “I’ve had the time of my life and I owe it all to you.” My sister also had one made for Chase and her’s said, “Time flys when you’re having fun.” Get it? Because they’re time puns haha? Danny usually wears his Apple Watch, so he keeps all of his other watches in this box and uses them on special occasions. You can put any message on the box to show him you love him!
Shaving Kits
I got Dan the Art of Shaving Perfect Shave Kit {in Sandalwood} for Christmas and he told me it has revolutionized his shaving experience. He absolutely loves the extra care for his skin and has noticed significantly less razor burn. The combined set provides the optimal close shave. He also got a Harry’s razor and shave gel (for when he’s running late and doesn’t have time for the whole shave routine) from Target and loves not having to pay a lot for a pack of razors.
Undies
I don’t know about you, but I can never have enough underwear. Give his undies a refresh and pick up some Calvins or Valentine’s themed briefs.
Ball Wash
This idea actually comes straight from my babe, Patsi. She got this Ball (& body) Men’s Wash for her boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and I thought it was too hilarious not to share! Get this for your man so he’ll never have a “whack sack.” Head over to their website to find some puns about balls. The branding and copywriting is just genius and punny. Obsessed.
Let me know what you’re getting for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day in the comments below! Thank you for reading!
