I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing Easter! It was 30 degrees and snowing yesterday…not a great combo for our Easter festivities. With the winter weather, Easter was very low key this year.
Yesterday, we went out to Elkhorn for lunch at my aunt’s house — complete with cheesy hash brown potatoes, ham and desserts — and then we exchanged baskets and eggs. The big kids {me} get gift cards and cash and the little ones get lots and lots of candy and toys. Then, we had an Easter egg hunt. We decided to have our egg hunt in the basement rather than outside this year.
Blush is my favorite. Whenever I get the choice, it’s always pink and clearly the blush trend is here to stay. I love this monochrome blush outfit, paired with rose gold jewelry and a pop of rose gold on the eyes! {I used Stila Shimmer and Glow liquid Eye Shadow in shade Kitten}
I couldn’t wear my usual fun, springy dress for Easter because it was too stinking cold, so I swapped it out for some winter pastels. I paired this mock neck sweater with some blush jeggings, both from American Eagle. The pants are so velvety soft, super stretchy and comfortable. {I’ve linked similar ones here and here. Blush sweater here.} Sweaters with pops of skin (like this one) are perfect for those winter to spring transitions.
I just ordered these pink velvet bow flats from Luca + Grae for only $22 during their sale. They’re so fun and girly! Luca + Grae still has stock in almost all sizes and they’re a steal.
Now about my new favorite bracelet… This weekend I stopped at hello ruby for their first birthday pop up at Ted & Wally’s. hello ruby is a mobile boutique in Omaha entirely run out of a renovated truck, adorned with pops of rose gold and marble! It’s so adorable and the clothes are amazing. This was my first experience shopping there and it definitely won’t be the last. I wanted just about everything in there, but I had to seriously limit myself. I got this bracelet and I’m IN LOVE. Over Valentine’s Day I talked about the Cartier Love Bracelet — which I can afford in no possible way — and I found this rose gold dupe at Hello Ruby for just $18. Amazing. It makes a great staple piece to wear with anything and is great layered or on its own. I love a good classic.
Other items I purchased at the pop up: Sleeveless Ribbed Sweater Crop Top | Gathered Crop | Palazzo Pants {all under $25 each}
Check out hello ruby for the cutest, affordable clothes! Everything is super adorable and their sale rack has some incredible deals {this is where I live}. You don’t have to wait for the next pop up, shop everything online!
