Throwback to JT and Brit in the 90s. Denim on denim babes! You can’t getaway without getting there first and we need something to wear to get us there.
I’ve said this a lot and I’ll say it again and again: Nebraska weather from late October to about mid April is THE WORST. Usually, when I’m going somewhere warm, I’m planning it during these months so I can get away from the cold.
It’s hard to dress when you’re going to be in two different types of weather, but this outfit is made for just that.
Start with a basic crop top {this one is from H&M} and some very destroyed jeans for the warm weather. The jeans are destroyed enough to give some air flow and exposure, so when you get to warmer climate you’re not sweating your ass off immediately. Coverage, but not too much coverage. For this, I’d also recommend packing a pair of denim shorts in your carry on so you can change whenever you get the chance.
Throw on a denim jacket to keep warm while you’re still at home and on the plane. If it’s absolutely freezing at home, you can layer this with a sweatshirt underneath. All of this is easily removed when you get to the destination.
Hat to cover hair. Shades to cover eyes. Watch to tell the time. And some comfy and easily removable shoes, this is essential. I once made the mistake of wearing sandals with a million buckles and had to remove them at security check. Oh my it was a nightmare. Okay I’m being dramatic, but just don’t do that. I always travel in my adidas.
